Westward Ho

Looking for a scenic trip from the desert to the high desert? The Great Western Trail maybe for you. This trail goes from southern Arizona to Canada via a mixture of hiking and motorized trails. A group of us tackled 63 miles of it. We started in the Seven Springs area and ended by the Dugus ranch. The 3 stages are a mixture of wash board forest roads to very rocky and rutted two track trail. You will see great views from ridgelines to nice cool water by streams. There are lots of places to pull off and camp.
